Figure Drawing instructor (April 2016 - August 2016)

contracted to plan, organize and execute five week intensive course on figure drawing

Private Companion McKenzie Towne Seniors Home (2015-present)

Facilitated and encouraged expression, independence, and flexibility while an elderly Jamaican woman, living wheelchair-bound since her last stroke in an assisted living facility.

Accommodating her interests includes: music, dancing, singing, praying, shopping, storytelling, pen-pals, activities, telephone skill development, current events, R.O.M exercises, spatial /interpersonal intelligence exercises, assisting HCA’s with ADL’s and organizing handi-bus trips.

Classes were one hour in duration, not including clean up, set up and transportation and had 4-18 students registered.

Continued the art practise of a retired artist diagnosed with Dementia. Flexibility and adaptability became integral to continuing his creative outlet.

Guidance and structure increased, project sizes, duration and materials were tailored to suit his shorter attention span, increased confusion, and new assisted living accommodations.
